Over the last few years, we have taken increasing
interest in convening Telepathology conferences and annual events,
bring together a community of healthcare professionals, interested
in advancing the cause of Telepathology. Telepathology allows
samples to be studied remotely and allows consultations between
pathologists and other physicians via the Internet. With Telepathology
it is possible to study images from surgical pathology specimens,
histopathology and cytology specimens remotely, without the
need for the specimens to be physically sent to the lab. Improving
telecommunication bandwidth and infrastructure enhancements,
are making telepathology a reality and a very useful tool for
remote diagnosis. |
